The Norwegian Fjord Horse is one of the oldest and purest breeds.  They come from the mountainous regions of Norway.  Its ancestors migrated to Norway and were domesticated over 4,000 years ago.  Their mane is usually clipped (like in the art) to stand straight up to emphasize the shape of the neck.  The Norwegian Fjord Horse is very strong and loved for their good temperament.
